It’s Building Me: Being Confident in a Trying Season

Have you ever felt like you're in a season where everything seems to be falling apart? It's easy to lose confidence when life is challenging and things don't go as planned. However, these seasons of trial are often where God does His greatest work in us. James 1:2-4 tells us to consider it pure joy when we face trials because they produce perseverance and maturity. Could it be that your current struggles are building something greater within you?

Consider the story of Joseph, who went from being a beloved son to a slave and prisoner before becoming a ruler in Egypt. Each trial he faced was a step in the process that God used to prepare him for his destiny. In moments of difficulty, Joseph maintained his confidence in God's plan for his life, despite the circumstances. Are you able to see your challenges as part of God's refining process for your purpose?

Confidence in a trying season comes from trusting that God is in control and working everything out for your good. Romans 8:28 reminds us that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Instead of focusing on the immediate discomfort or pain, we should focus on the growth and development that God is bringing about in us. Are you willing to trust God's process, even when it's uncomfortable?

It's important to remember that being confident doesn't mean having all the answers or never feeling afraid. It means choosing to stand firm in your faith, even when things are uncertain. Isaiah 41:10 encourages us not to fear, for God is with us and will strengthen and help us. Lean on God's promises and find confidence in His unfailing love and faithfulness. What scriptures are you holding onto during your trying season?

Reflection Question: How can you shift your perspective to see your current season as a time of growth and preparation?
Prayer: Father, help me to remain confident in You during this trying season. Teach me to trust Your process and to see my challenges as opportunities for growth. Amen.
